Talk with LucyRx about what this could mean for your plan

Women’s heart health, GLP-1 coverage, and midlife cardiovascular risk are raising new benefits questions for employers.

LucyRx can help you think through the issue, understand what data may matter, and identify the right next step before making benefit decisions.

The first step is understanding the population.

What this conversation can help clarify

A conversation with LucyRx can help employers think through:

  • why women’s heart health belongs in the GLP-1 coverage conversation
  • how this issue may apply to a specific plan or workforce
  • what data may be useful to review
  • what current GLP-1 utilization and spend may suggest
  • what questions HR, finance, medical, and benefits stakeholders may need to consider
  • whether a deeper population discussion would be useful

Why this matters

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women.

For many women, risk begins to rise in midlife, during perimenopause and menopause. At the same time, many employer plans still evaluate GLP-1 coverage through a diabetes or weight-loss lens.

Certain GLP-1s now carry an FDA-approved cardiovascular indication for adults with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity. That creates a more specific benefits question for employers.

This is not a case for broad GLP-1 coverage. It is a reason to step back and ask what the plan should understand before making a benefit decision.

What LucyRx brings to the discussion

LucyRx helps employers make complex prescription benefit decisions clearer.

We can help employers think through:

  • how prescription benefit design connects to women’s heart health in midlife
  • how GLP-1 coverage decisions are changing as clinical use evolves
  • why employer-specific data matters more than industry averages
  • what questions to consider before changing a benefit
  • how member support, navigation, and clinical context can shape the experience

The goal is not to rush to a coverage change.

The goal is to help employers ask better questions and make clearer decisions.

Not ready for a full analysis?

That is okay. This can start with a simple conversation.

If it makes sense to go deeper, LucyRx can discuss what information may be useful to review and what next steps may fit your goals, timing, and available data.

No benefit change is required to start the conversation.
